Kyiv, Ukraine Generator Project
A pair of Berksan silent-canopy generators powered by Kofo engines, rated 55 kVA and 90 kVA, were built for delivery to Kyiv; after factory testing, the units were packed and sent to Ukraine by truck.
Solution implemented on site
This order from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, covered two different power requirements: 55 kVA for one unit and 90 kVA for the other. Both units run on Kofo engines inside Berksan's acoustic canopy. Choosing the same engine family also keeps maintenance and spare parts simpler.
Once production was finished, both generators were started up and checked before leaving the factory, with the control panels, protection functions and connections reviewed one by one. Because they were heading out on a long international journey, the canopy corners were capped with blue protectors and the units were wrapped in stretch film from end to end. In the factory yard, a forklift then set them side by side on the deck of a curtainside truck, where they were strapped down.
The generators were delivered to Kyiv ready to be connected to the customer's electrical system. When paired with an automatic transfer switch (ATS) panel, they start on their own the moment utility power fails, take over the load and return it to the grid when power is restored. With this shipment completed in 2026, two Berksan generators rated at 55 and 90 kVA are ready to serve as backup power in Kyiv.
