Taksim Otel Generator Project

For Taksim Otel, a hotel operating in one of Istanbul's busiest districts, we designed a tailored backup power solution so that mains outages would not affect guest comfort. With the aim of keeping the elevator, lighting, reception and common-area loads supplied without interruption, a Berksan silent-canopy diesel generator was selected as the most suitable solution.

During the site survey, the placement area, exhaust routing, ventilation requirements and cable paths were evaluated to establish the layout plan. Once the white silent-canopy unit was delivered to the hotel, the mechanical mounting, power cabling and automatic transfer switch (ATS) connections were completed with great care.

During commissioning, the generator was tested under load and its automatic start, load transfer and protection functions were verified. With all checks successfully completed, Taksim Otel gained a reliable backup power source that allows it to serve its guests without interruption even during grid outages.
