Side Mekanik Generator Project

For Side Mekanik, which operates in the mechanical contracting and industrial manufacturing field in Istanbul, we prepared a backup power solution tailored to the facility so that its workshop machinery, compressor and lighting loads could keep running without being affected by mains outages. Since any interruption to the production flow means both lost working hours and unfinished manufacturing jobs, the company's load profile and working pattern were evaluated and a 35 kVA Berksan silent-type generator was determined to be the most suitable solution.

During the site survey, the placement area, exhaust routing, ventilation conditions and cable paths were examined to establish the layout plan. The sound-insulated canopy unit was positioned on the prepared base in the tiled open area next to the facility building; the mechanical mounting, power cabling and automatic transfer switch (ATS) connections were then completed with great care, integrating the generator into the plant's distribution system.

During commissioning, the generator was tested under load and its automatic start, load transfer and protection functions were verified. Following the work completed in 2026, Side Mekanik gained a reliable backup power source that keeps its workshop machinery and critical loads supplied without interruption even during grid outages.
