A Berksan silent-type diesel standby generator was supplied, installed and commissioned for the textile and garment manufacturing facility of Özkurtlar Hazır Giyim Konfeksiyon in Istanbul, Turkey.
Solution implemented on site
For Özkurtlar Hazır Giyim Konfeksiyon Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi, a company operating in the textile and ready-to-wear sector in Istanbul, we designed a tailored backup power solution so that its sewing and garment production lines, ironing and packaging section and lighting loads could continue running without being affected by mains outages. After evaluating the facility's load profile and production continuity requirements, a Berksan silent-type diesel generator was selected as the most suitable solution.
During the site survey, the placement of the unit inside the building's technical area, ventilation conditions, exhaust routing and cable paths were evaluated to establish the layout plan. Once the mechanical installation of the sound-insulated canopy unit was completed, the power cabling and automatic transfer switch (ATS) connections were carried out with great care.
During commissioning, the generator was tested under load and its automatic start, load transfer and protection functions were verified. With the project delivered in 2026, Özkurtlar Tekstil gained a reliable backup power source that allows its production to continue uninterrupted even during grid outages.
