Turnkey installation and commissioning of a 200 kVA Berksan (Ricardo engine) standby power generator for the Microtechtr facility in Kocaeli, Türkiye.
Solution implemented on site
For Microtechtr Kesici Tak. Mak. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., a cutting-tool and machinery manufacturer based in Kocaeli, we designed a tailored standby power solution so that its production lines could keep running uninterrupted during grid outages. After studying the load profile of the company's CNC machines and precision processing equipment, a 200 kVA Berksan generator was selected as the most suitable power rating for the facility's energy requirements.
During the site survey, the placement area, exhaust routing, fuel supply line and cable paths were evaluated to establish the layout plan. Once the Ricardo-powered, sound-insulated canopy unit was delivered to the site, the mechanical mounting, power cabling and transfer panel connections were completed with great care.
Following installation, load tests and commissioning were carried out, and the automatic start scenarios for grid-outage events were successfully verified. As a result, Microtechtr's production operations were equipped with a reliable and continuous standby power infrastructure.
