Lake Vista Turizm Sapanca Bungalow Facility Generator Project

What guests look for at a bungalow facility is peace and comfort, and a power cut spoils both at once. Lake Vista Turizm, which offers bungalow accommodation in the Sapanca district of Sakarya, wanted lighting, water pumps, heating and air-conditioning units and reception systems to keep working during outages. Once the facility's loads were added up, it was clear that a 55 kVA generator would be enough. Since engine noise should not disturb guests at a property set in nature, the unit was fitted with a noise-insulating Berksan canopy.

During the site visit, a spot away from the bungalows was picked for the generator, where the exhaust would not point toward guest areas; enough clearance was left around the canopy for maintenance and airflow, and the cable path to the main switchboard was mapped out. Before it left the factory, the canopy was sealed in stretch film and blue guards went on its corners. Lifted by forklift onto a flatbed truck, the generator was brought to Sapanca, set on the prepared base at the facility and secured. Once the power cables had been run to the main switchboard, the connections were completed so that an automatic transfer switch (ATS) panel manages the changeover between the grid and the generator.

Before the first start, the oil and coolant levels and the battery were checked. The generator first idled for a while, then ran on the facility's actual loads, while voltage and frequency were followed on the control panel. As a final step, the mains supply was cut on purpose: the ATS promptly switched the facility over to the generator, then back to utility power once the grid recovered. With the 55 kVA Berksan generator we commissioned in 2026, Lake Vista Turizm's guests in Sapanca can carry on with their stay even through a power cut.
