Kalkan Stud Metal Generator Project

For Kalkan Stud Met. San. Tic. A.Ş., a metal industry company operating in İstanbul, we designed a tailored standby power solution to keep the production lines running unaffected by mains outages. After a detailed assessment of the facility's load profile and the consumption of its critical equipment, a 250 kVA Berksan generator powered by an SDEC engine was identified as the ideal choice, covering current demand while leaving headroom for future growth.

Prior to the project, an on-site survey was carried out to plan the generator's placement area, exhaust routing, ventilation and cable runs. The sound-attenuated canopy unit was positioned at the designated point and the infrastructure connections were completed; power and control cabling together with the automatic transfer switch (ATS) were installed and integrated into the facility's electrical system.

Following installation, load tests and commissioning were performed on the generator, verifying all protection and automatic start-up functions. As a result, Kalkan Stud Metal gained a reliable standby power source that engages instantly during any grid interruption and safeguards uninterrupted continuity of its production operations.
