Dost Elektrik Mimarlık Generator Project

Dost Elektrik Mimarlık is an electrical and architecture firm based in Uşak. The company wanted a backup power source so that work would not stall during power cuts, so together we went through the loads that needed to be supplied and how many of them could run at the same time. The numbers pointed to 75 kVA, and the choice fell on a Ricardo engine paired with a sound-insulated Berksan canopy.

After its final checks at our factory, the generator was labeled with its destination and rating (UŞAK, 75 kVA), and the canopy was covered in stretch film to protect it on the road. A forklift loaded the unit onto an open-bed truck, and it was sent to Uşak. On site, the generator's position was chosen with the exhaust direction, the clearance the canopy needs for air intake and discharge, and service access in mind; after the power line was laid, the generator was tied into the electrical installation through an automatic transfer switch (ATS) panel.

At first start-up, the control panel settings and protection values were reviewed. Under load, the unit then ran for a while on the actual consumption of the circuits it serves; the utility supply was then cut to watch the transfer panel hand the load over to the generator and take it back once power returned. Delivered in 2026, this 75 kVA Berksan generator is now Dost Elektrik Mimarlık's first safeguard against power outages in Uşak.
