Bolu Kuran Kursu Generator Project
A 55 kVA Berksan silent-type standby generator was supplied, installed and commissioned for Bolu Kuran Kursu in Bolu, Türkiye, keeping this education and public-sector building powered during grid outages.
Solution implemented on site
For Bolu Kuran Kursu, operating in the province of Bolu in Türkiye, we planned a backup power solution tailored to the building so that classroom lighting, the heating system, the kitchen and the dormitory loads would not be affected by mains outages. Ensuring that the heating never stops under Bolu's harsh winter conditions was the top priority; after evaluating the building's load profile and the equipment running simultaneously, a 55 kVA Berksan silent-type generator was determined to be the most suitable solution.
During the site survey, the placement area, exhaust routing, ventilation requirements and cable paths were examined to establish the layout plan. Since the building also serves as boarding accommodation, a unit with a sound-insulated canopy was preferred so that noise would not disturb the residents; after delivery, the mechanical mounting, power cabling and automatic transfer switch (ATS) connections were completed with great care.
During commissioning, the generator was tested under load and its automatic start, load transfer and protection functions were verified. Following the checks completed in 2026, Bolu Kuran Kursu gained a reliable backup power source that allows its teaching and accommodation routine to continue uninterrupted even during grid outages.
