Antalya Generator Project
Two Berksan silent-canopy standby generators with Ricardo engines, one rated 206 kVA and the other 195 kVA, were built at our factory and trucked to a facility in Antalya, where both were installed and commissioned.
Solution implemented on site
We set up a high-capacity standby power system for a facility in Antalya. The goal was to keep operations running through power outages. After a load calculation based on consumption data and the loads that must stay energized during an outage, we decided to meet the demand with two Berksan silent-canopy generators with Ricardo engines, one rated 206 kVA and the other 195 kVA. Together, the two units provide 401 kVA of installed capacity.
During the site visit, the positions of both units were chosen to leave enough service clearance around the enclosures and to let hot air and exhaust gas discharge without recirculating into them; the cable route to the electrical panels was planned to match this layout. Before shipping, both generators were given a protective stretch-film wrap against dust and moisture, and a forklift lifted them one at a time onto a yellow curtainside semi-trailer in our factory yard. Once in Antalya, the units were set in their planned positions; with the power cabling complete, both were tied into the facility's electrical system through an automatic transfer switch (ATS) setup that lets them pick up the load as soon as utility power fails.
Commissioning began with each unit running under load on its own. Utility power was then cut as a test to try out the automatic start sequence; voltage and frequency stability were monitored, and the protection settings were verified as well. Thanks to the two Berksan generators placed in service in 2026, the facility stays lit and keeps working through any power outage.
